Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Sentiint AI.

Two ways, both take under a minute: 1. **Direct link** — Copy the assignment URL from the share dialog. In Canvas, add it as an External URL module item. Students click the link and access the content. 2. **Iframe embed** — Copy the embed code from the share dialog. Paste it into any HTML editor in your LMS. The content renders inline — students never leave the LMS. For quizzes, you can also export in QTI format and import directly into Canvas Quizzes for gradebook integration. Full LTI 1.3 integration (with automatic grade passback) is planned for Q3 2026.
Yes. Student names, emails, and scores are stored in our database and never sent to AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google). AI API calls contain only course content. Students don't need passwords — they enter a name and email to start a session. Session tokens are stored in the URL (not cookies) so it works inside LMS iframes. Student data is only accessible to the professor who created the course. No cross-course or cross-institution data sharing.
We support three providers — you choose in Settings: - **Anthropic Claude** (default) — Claude 3 Haiku for all generation tasks - **OpenAI GPT-4o** — Alternative for professors who prefer OpenAI - **Google Gemini 2.0 Flash** — Fastest and most cost-effective Every AI call is logged with provider, model, token count, and estimated cost.
**Free** — $0/month, 50 AI calls + 100K tokens, all 9 tool types, basic analytics. **Pro** — $29/month, 500 AI calls + 1M tokens, priority support, QTI export, full analytics. **Institution** — Custom pricing, unlimited usage, SSO, admin dashboard, SLA, dedicated support. Student interactions with tools also consume calls. Monitor usage in Settings.
Currently, you describe your content needs in the co-creation chat and the AI generates from its training knowledge. You can guide it with specific topics, learning objectives, and source material descriptions. Upload-based generation (from PDFs, PowerPoints, syllabi) is on the roadmap for Q3 2026. In the meantime, paste excerpts into the co-creation chat as source material.
AI-generated content should be treated like a TA's first draft — review before publishing. The co-creation chat shows a preview before generation. After generation, content is set to "ready" — not "published." You review first. You can regenerate any item or edit the content. Most professors edit 10-20% of generated content.
No. Students access content through a link or iframe embed. They enter their name and email on first access — no password, no sign-up, no app download. Sessions are tracked by a token in the URL.
**Quizzes** — Yes, export in QTI format (the standard for Canvas, Blackboard, and Moodle). Click the download icon on any quiz-containing assignment. **Lessons and other tools** — These are interactive web experiences accessed via link or iframe. The content lives in your Sentiint account and is available as long as your account is active.
- Interactive lesson (10 slides + quiz): 10-20 seconds - Case study (scenario expansion): 5-10 seconds - Discussion (persona generation): 5-10 seconds - Config-only tools (office hours, study guide, peer review, lab sim): Instant Gemini Flash is fastest, Claude Haiku is a close second, GPT-4o produces the most detailed content.
Not currently — each course is owned by one professor. Collaborative courses are on the roadmap. As a workaround, one professor can create the course and share assignment links with co-instructors for review.
Any modern browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Mobile browsers work too — the classroom interface is responsive. No plugins or extensions required.
The platform has a full REST API (used by the frontend), but it's not currently documented for external use. Contact hello@sentiint.ai if you're interested in programmatic access for research or custom integrations.
